Gazette notification on Jain Community as a minority community
Jains, who were recently included in the list of minority communities, can open and operate schools or colleges and have full management and administrative rights. They are allowed to reserve 50% of the seats for students from their community, said Janet D'Souza vice-chairperson of Maharashtra State Minorities Commission.
